Decarbonising processes :
a new industrial revolution
António Pires da Cruz (co-director of the PEPR SPLEEN for the Decarbonisation of Industry) was invited to take part in the conference ‘Innovation, decarbonisation: reinventing construction’, organised by CementLAB, a think tank initiated by the cement industry and dedicated to the entire construction value chain.
On this occasion, he spoke alongside Damien Chudeau (Head of the Research Centre, Cement and Minerals Division, FIVES) and Mélisande Couespel (Director of Climate Issues, France Ciment) on the theme of ‘Decarbonisation of processes: a new industrial revolution’.
The panellists discussed innovations and actions to deploy decarbonisation levers, exploring different avenues, from fundamental research into decarbonising industry to the supply of new equipment. In particular, António Pires da Cruz presented the PEPR SPLEEN and the R&D challenges involved in decarbonising the cement industry.
