Exchange day in Dunkerque

The management of the PEPR SPLEEN for the decarbonisation of industry was pleased to accept an invitation from the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale to take part in a day of discussions in Dunkirk on Friday 17 January 2025.

Dunkirk is a major industrial area in France, with an ecosystem of players involved in initiatives aimed at decarbonising industry.

These include the ANR C’DéCiDé project, led by ULCO, which aims to support the reindustrialisation of a zero-carbon region by developing a comprehensive and diversified range of training courses from undergraduate to doctorate level, or the new PLASMA-N-ACT project of the PEPR SPLEEN, which aims to explore the use of plasma-assisted non-thermal catalysis to synthesise ammonia (a consortium led by ENSI Caen, of which ULCO is a member).

Cross-presentations of the research activities of various University laboratories and the initiatives and advances of the PEPR SPLEEN helped to identify prospects for future collaboration.
A visit to the facilities of the Maison de la Recherche en Environnement Industriel rounded off a day rich in exchanges.

Many thanks to ULCO, its vice-presidents Arnaud Cuisset and Sophie Fourmentin and all the speakers for their warm welcome.
