IMOSYCCA annual progress day
On December 3, the IMOSYCCA project held its annual progress day by videoconference.

L’objectif de ce projet est de conceptualiser de nouvelles unités de capture du CO₂ modulaires, utilisables par des petits et moyens éThe research is focusing on the simultaneous design of new eco-designed absorption solvents and the use of innovative absorption technologies such as membrane contactors or packed beds.
Scientific research is focusing on the simultaneous design of new eco-designed absorption solvents and the use of innovative absorption technologies, i.e. membrane contactors or rotating packed beds (LTR or RPB). The aim is to achieve an environmentally-friendly, intensified process that takes into account the energy penalty and environmental impact, and includes solvent regeneration.
IMOSYCCA is structured into six separate work packages, within which different research projects are being carried out:
WP1 Eco-designed solvents.
WP2 New membranes for membrane contactors
WP3 Modelling and testing of membrane contactors
WP4 Ageing and degradation of the separating agent
WP5 Modelling, testing and sizing of RPBs
WP6 Coordination and prospecting
The year 2024 has been a busy one for the project, as it has enabled the milestones to be set for future progress (recruitment, start-up or development of thesis work, presentation of a new method, etc.), scientific trials, presentation of a reverse engineering selection method, drawing up of specifications, definition of application cases for future socio-economic studies, two workshops carried out with the CATALPA project)
The year 2025 promises to be just as busy, with the aim of increasing and refining our knowledge of CO2 capture media.
