Heading towards decarbonization of steel and cement with the SPLEEN PEPR training course “The role of CO2 capture and storage in industrial decarbonization”

From 31 March to 2 April, 16 PhD students from PEPR SPLEEN projects met at INSA Lyon.

A huge thank you to Denis Bossanne, Jean-Pierre Deflandre and Egor Glushkov Boukerou for hosting these three days dedicated to the decarbonization of the steel industry, CO2 capture technologies and geological storage of CO2.

Through an interactive board game, participants were challenged on existing and emerging solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of steel.
